The class consists of 8 pupils with a range of needs including down syndrome, global developmental delay, one child with a complex medical condition and one pupils with severe arthritis and learning difficulties. The pupils attainment levels are between P6 and P8 so experience working in either complex needs or in EYFS would be advantageous. All the pupils in class are verbal but some Makaton and PECs usage will occur in class to support learning. The ideal teacher will be able to plan, deliver and assess lessons that focus on a sensory curriculum, have good behaviour and classroom management skills, have a proven track record as a "good" teacher and bring passion and commitment to their job.
