The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed SEN Science Teacher to join our specialist team. You will be responsible for delivering engaging, accessible Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, adapting the curriculum to meet the diverse needs of our learners.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated Science lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
- Create a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Use a range of strategies to support students with SEN, including visual supports, sensory tools, and structured routines.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and the wider SEN team.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing clear feedback and setting achievable targets.
- Contribute to EHCP reviews and maintain accurate records.
- Foster strong relationships with students, families, and external agencies.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds QTS or QTLS (ECTs welcome to apply).
- Has experience teaching Science, ideally within an SEN setting (not essential training provided).
- Understands a range of SEN needs and appropriate strategies for engagement and behaviour.
- Demonstrates creativity, patience, resilience, and a pupil-centered approach.
- Is committed to inclusive education and personalising learning experiences.
