Responsibilities

Teach a small group of KS2 pupils with complex and mixed needs within a structured ERP.

Plan, adapt, and deliver lessons that support communication, emotional regulation, and functional learning.

Follow agreed routines that help pupils stay calm and engaged.

Work closely with the SENCO, therapists, and specialist support staff to refine approaches.

Lead a small team of support staff, ensuring consistent expectations and shared strategies.

Use simple assessment tools to track progress and inform planning.

Maintain a safe, predictable environment that supports individual regulation and independence.
Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status.

Experience teaching pupils with SEND, ideally autism, communication needs, SEMH, or developmental delays.

Confidence planning for a small class with varying levels of need.

Calm, steady approach with an understanding of behaviour linked to communication and regulation.

Ability to lead support staff and model consistent strategies.

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
