Role of the HGV Auto Electrician Mechanic: The HGV Auto Electrician Mechanic will be responsible for the mechanical and electrical maintenance, fault-finding, and repair across a fleet PSVs. You will be responsible for ensuring vehicles remain safe, reliable, and compliant with all DVSA and industry standards. Key Responsibilities of the HGV Auto Electrician Mechanic: Diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical systems (engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulics) and electrical systems (wiring, lighting, CAN-bus, batteries, starter motors). Carry out routine servicing, preventative maintenance, and safety inspections to DVSA standards. Repair and install vehicle electronics, including passenger information systems, door controls, and HVAC systems. Complete job cards, digital records, and compliance documentation accurately. Support workshop team to minimise vehicle downtime and ensure safety compliance. Assist with hybrid/electric vehicle systems where required.
