Smart Solutions is currently recruiting aClass 2 Trade Waste Driverfor our client based inQuarrington NG34. Our client is a leader in waste management services.
AsClass 2 Trade Waste Driveryou will collect and transport commercial waste using our modern fleet. The right candidate must have a strong route knowledge of the Midlands region and commitment to sustainability, you'll thrive in a role that balances independence with team collaboration.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Drive and operate aClass 2 (Category C) HGVto collect trade waste
- Facilitate collection of wheeled bin containers
- Plan efficient routes to maximise productivity and minimise environmental impact
- Use bin-lifting equipment and follow pre-planned routes
- Perform daily vehicle checks and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Ensure compliance with all health & safety and waste handling regulations
- Provide professional and courteous customer service
- Report any issues, delays, or incidents promptly
Person Specification:
- Must have the legal right to work in the UK
- Able to meet the essential physical requirements of the role including lifting and carrying
- Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
- Previous experience within a waste & recycling industrial environment would be an advantage
- Good team player and communicator
- Able to perform various tasks including moving bulky items and loading the vehicle outside in all weather conditions
