Wastewater experience is essential

Mercury Hampton is supporting a contractor operating in the UK water and wastewater sector to appoint a Project Engineer focused on the delivery of mechanical systems across wastewater treatment projects.

The client s preference is to make a permanent appointment, however experienced contractors will also be considered.

The Role

This is a project-level engineering role, responsible for technical coordination and delivery from design through to construction and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical ownership of mechanical engineering packages

• Coordination across mechanical, civil, process and EICA disciplines

• Supporting projects through design, construction and commissioning

• Liaison with suppliers, subcontractors and internal delivery teams

• Ensuring engineering solutions meet safety, cost and programme requirements

• Identifying and recommending engineering improvements

Requirements

• Mechanical Engineering qualification or equivalent experience

• Experience delivering mechanical systems on wastewater projects

• Wastewater treatment plant experience essential

• Strong technical coordination and problem-solving skills

• Comfortable working in a contractor-side delivery environment
