Exciting Opportunity: Multi Skilled Engineer - Mobile (Trades and Labour)
Are you a skilled and versatile maintenance professional looking for a new challenge? This company is seeking a talented Multi Skilled Engineer to join their team and play a vital role in maintaining and repairing student accommodation sites across Kingston and Surbiton.
The Role of the Multi Skilled Engineer
As a Multi Skilled Engineer, you will be responsible for performing both planned and reactive maintenance on a variety of systems, including electrical, water, fire alarms, building fabric, plumbing, and even minor decorating. Your duties will involve:
- Responding to maintenance requests during and outside of normal working hours as part of an on-call rota
- Monitoring and maintaining mechanical systems and plant rooms
- Inspecting and repairing fixtures, fittings, and furniture
- Supporting contractor management and stock control
- Ensuring safety and compliance with company policies
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate for this Multi Skilled Engineer role will possess:
- An NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in a relevant trade
- Extensive experience in a similar maintenance role
- Excellent communication, organisation, and IT skills
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- A full UK driving licence and good physical fitness
