Senior Supervision Analyst (Multiple Roles)

Location: London or Manchester

Position Type: Full Time

Salary: £49,053 £60,229

The Independent Football Regulator (IFR) has been established to protect and promote the sustainability of English football, for the benefit of fans and the local communities football clubs serve.

The IFR will help improve financial sustainability of clubs, ensure resilience across the leagues, and safeguard the heritage of English football. It will operate a licensing regime, set corporate governance standards and monitor, protect, and promote financial resilience. It will also enforce compliance with requirements on financial regulation, club ownership and directors, fan engagement, and heritage protection.

The IFR will also have powers to prohibit clubs from joining competitions that are not fair or meritocratic, or that threaten the heritage or sustainability of English football.

The Supervision Function is rapidly expanding and is looking for candidates in multiple roles across the team:

  • Senior Supervision Analyst
  • Senior Financial Analyst
  • Senior Data Analyst

Essential Requirements (all roles):

  • Proven ability to lead projects and teams.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Effective relationship manager, with the ability to influence at a senior level, both internally and externally.
  • Strong data analysis skills, with an ability to interpret complex financial and non-financial information for non-expert audiences.
  • Track record of evidence-based decision-making, using judgement to draw clearly reasoned conclusions.

Desirable Skills (all roles):

  • Experience working within a regulator, central government, or a regulated financial institution in a risk, finance, or supervisory function.
  • Experience interpreting and applying legislation or implementing new policies.
  • Knowledge or experience of professional football governance structures, financial fair play, or club licensing systems.

If successful you will join a Non-Departmental Public Body and will be employed as a Public Servant.
