Maintain accurate, complete records in Salesforce; apply definitions consistently and quality check data before reporting. Maintain Salesforce and contribute inputs for SMT/committee reporting via the Senior Philanthropy Manager; propose lightweight improvements to existing processes. Keep professional knowledge current; share useful updates/resources and ensure compliance with relevant standards and legislation. Support delivery of major fundraising, cultivation and stewardship events, and ad-hoc Philanthropy Team activities. Demonstrate professionalism and best practice in all duties, complying with organisational policies and procedures, and proactively supporting the wider team. Person specification Essential : Demonstrable experience generating gifts at five to six figures from UK trusts, corporate partnerships and/or foundations. Ability to work through the fundraising cycle with donors to initiate, renew and grow gifts. Experience developing partnerships and managing an allocated portfolio of donor relationships. Excellent research and prospecting skills. Strong experience using Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, and substantive experience using Salesforce or a comparable CRM. Strong planning and organisation skills - build structured plans with milestones/dependencies and track portfolio income/expenditure, highlighting variances early. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong bid-writing and storytelling ability. The Fundraising team is small but mighty. We shape and support the raising of funds for Turning Tides, by inspiring compassion for people facing homelessness and aim to engage supporters through powerful storytelling. From supporting and creating fundraising events, engaging with community groups, corporate clients and providing 1:1 stewardship with donors we aim to spread the word of our mission to the wider community, inspiring people to take action in support of those who are impacted by homelessness. This is an exciting time in the Fundraising team as we embark on a review of how we make our supporters and journey one that they value and a part of the work we undertake. About the role The Fundraising Officer will work closely with the Fundraising Manager on a wide range of tasks, ensuring our messages reach the right people in the right way. This could include giving talks at local community groups such as schools and churches, delivering fundraising, stewardship of fundraisers and donors. This role will include weekend and evening work to support our fundraising events.

Stay up to date with digital best practices and technology, including sector trends, follow industry policies, including GDPR, PECR regulations, attending training and optimising plans accordingly. Experience of measuring, evaluating and reporting on digital activity and performance across multiple channels and digital campaigns, paid and organic. Experience with experimentation tools like Optimisely or similar. Strong project management and stakeholder management experience. Excellent written communication skills: able to produce compelling, persuasive, and concise copy for a range of specific target audiences. Attention to detail and proofreading skills and an ability to give clear and constructive feedback on creative and copy. Proven proficiency with design principles and tools (Canva/Adobe suite).
