This role offers genuine responsibility, visibility and influence within a lean, entrepreneurial environment.
This is a hands-on, senior role for someone who enjoys autonomy, variety and working close to decision-makers rather than within a large corporate structure.

Your responsibilities will include:
Full ownership of finance across multiple project entities, ensuring accurate, timely and well-controlled financial reporting
Preparation of monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, reconciliations and variance analysis
Cashflow forecasting, scenario modelling and liquidity oversight across projects
Responsibility for VAT returns, statutory filings and Companies House compliance
Acting as the primary point of contact for external accountants, auditors and tax advisers
Preparing and supplying financial information to investors, shareholders and the board
Supporting increased governance and reporting requirements following recent investment
Reviewing existing finance systems and processes (currently Xero), identifying improvements and recommending changes where appropriate
Establishing robust financial controls suitable for an investor-backed, multi-entity business
This is an office-based role in Hoxton, East London, enabling close collaboration with founders and senior stakeholders and offering real exposure to how strategic decisions are made.

This role will suit a finance professional who enjoys breadth, responsibility and being close to the action.
You are likely to have:
At least 3-5 years' UK-based financial controlling or finance management experience
Experience working in SME, project-based or investor-backed environments
Hands-on experience managing finance across multiple legal entities or SPVs
Strong technical grounding in management accounts, forecasting, cashflow and statutory compliance
Confidence dealing directly with senior stakeholders, investors and external advisers
A pragmatic, solutions-focused mindset and the ability to work with limited support infrastructure
You may be ACCA or CIMA qualified or part-qualified, or qualified by experience, with a demonstrable track record of owning and improving finance functions in growing businesses.
This role is not suited to candidates seeking a narrow or highly specialised finance remit, or those requiring hybrid-first or remote working arrangements.

Base salary of 50,000- 60,000 DOE
Performance-related bonus
Long-term growth equity participation (structure evolving and to be discussed during the process)
20 days' annual leave plus statutory bank holidays
