Key Responsibilities of the Master HGV Technician Diagnose, repair, and maintain PSV and HGV vehicles to Master Technician standards. Conduct advanced mechanical and electrical diagnostics, including engine, transmission, braking, suspension, and electrical systems. Perform MOT and PSV inspections, ensuring vehicles meet all legal and safety compliance requirements. Take ownership of workshop tasks, including overseeing maintenance schedules and managing complex repairs. Mentor and support junior technicians, sharing technical knowledge and best practices. Maintain accurate and detailed service records, parts usage, and fault reports. Lead on vehicle breakdown recovery and complex fault resolution.
