Paint/SMART Technician - Swindon
I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Paint SMART Technician to join a well established and busy operation.
This role will suit a technician who takes real pride in their finish, understands manufacturer standards, and values customer satisfaction just as highly as technical ability.
The Role: You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality paint repairs, working efficiently while maintaining excellent standards throughout the repair process.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing vehicles to a consistently high standard
Preparing and priming bodywork in line with manufacturers' specifications
Mixing, colour-matching, and painting repaired areas to a high-quality finish
Polishing completed work where required
Identifying and advising the Bodyshop or Service Advisor of any additional work during repairs
Maintaining strong product and technical knowledge
Delivering exceptional customer service that drives repeat business and referrals
Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards and accurate job administration
Working Hours
Monday to Friday: 8:30am - 5:00pm
Saturdays required on a case-by-case basis only
Salary & Benefits
Basic salary up to 35,000 (depending on experience)
Monthly bonus up to 1,500
Stable, long-term position within a professional bodyshop environment

Proven experience as a Paint SMART Technician (or similar paint repair role)
High attention to detail with a quality-first mindset
Strong communication skills and a professional approach
Reliable, motivated and able to work well within a team
