We're currently supporting a fantastic client looking for an additional Quantity Surveyor to join their team in the West Midlands.

About The Contractor:

They are a Tier 1 Main Contractor with a proven track record of successfully delivering high-profile construction projects across the UK & Europe. They're committed to excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction which has now led to additional growth.

Overview:

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be a vital member of the project team, responsible for managing aspects of the commercial and contractual activities on the assigned sections of the project. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the project's financial success and delivering it to the highest standards of quality, within budget and on schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Design concept, cost and price estimation
  • Negotiation and presentation of contracts (for clients and subcontractors), respectively tender documents
  • Building contract scrutiny and terms of contract analysis
  • Quantities measurements, project cash flow prediction
  • Acquisition and assessment of client requirements, including after-sales service and CRM
  • Conducting comprehensive cost estimation and preparing accurate cost plans
  • Managing subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and agreement of terms
  • Monitoring project costs and variations, providing proactive cost advice and control measures
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and risk management

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
  • Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Experience with projects in the Industrial, Warehouse of Shed environments would be a distinct advantage.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Happy to work on-site 5 days a week in Birmingham with travel to site as needed.
