An exciting opportunity has opened up for a highly experienced, talented, consultative sales leader to join a thriving events agency as their Head of Business Development.
We are looking for a new business, relationship builder, a best in class networker. This role is not a cold calling, transactional sales role, it's quite the opposite.
Our client is a leading events agency, they run events on behalf of some of the most prestigious brands throughout the UK.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an outstanding senior sales person to take on a role focused on building relationships, networking with potential clients at events.
The successful candidate will have 5 years experience, ideally working within an events agency. We are open to candidates with an exceptional track record in other areas of B2B sales.
The Role:
- Source and identify potential new clients to pitch the agency's services to
- Engage new companies by telephone and face to face to assess whether they are a good fit for the company
- Network with existing and prospective clients at events - lots of referrals and leads; quick response needed to chase these up
- Face-to-face meetings - networking key to the role
- Report weekly to the MD (role reports directly to the MD)
What we're looking for:
- At least 5 years sales experience in a B2B consultative sales (ideally an events agency)
- Ideally degree educated, hardworking and committed with an excellent new business, sales driven ethic
- Pro active, persuasive & confident
- A brilliant networker
- Ability to understand client's needs and adopt a tailored approach
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
