An experienced Industrial Electrician is needed to join a busy installation team. The role will involve electrical installation, modification, and maintenance of industrial electrical and control systems in a variety of industries include water, chemicals, waste management and manufacturing.
Responsibilities include:
- Carry out electrical installation works
- Install, terminate, test, and commission of LV power and control cabling, motors, pumps, MCCs and panels.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Complete electrical testing, fault finding, and minor commissioning activities
- Liaise with supervisors, engineers, and site teams to deliver works efficiently
- Accurately complete site documentation, test records, and job reports
- Support planned maintenance, reactive works, and shutdown activities
- Participate in standby / call-out rota when required
Skills and Experience:
- Strong background in industrial electrical installations
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams
- Experienced at installing control panels and instrumentation systems
- Competent in fault finding and electrical testing
- Any PLC programming experience would be an advantage
- Full UK driving licence
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation / Engineering
- 18th Edition
- ECS / CSCS card
The role is a mixture of workshop and site based work so you will need to be prepared to work away with overnight stays when needed
Salary c 50-60K + benefits (depending on experience)
