Job Description

We are currently looking for a Chief / Principal Systems Engineer to lead system definition, architecture, and governance across complex e drive, inverter, motor, battery, and thermal domains. This role acts as a technical authority across the full systems V model, ensuring alignment between hardware, software, controls, and safety teams while shaping the future of advanced EV platforms.

The Chief / Principal Systems Engineer will:
  • Define and own system requirements across electrified powertrain programmes, from vehicle level through to subsystems.
  • Lead the development of system architectures covering e drive, traction inverter, motor, battery, and thermal systems.
  • Maintain full traceability of requirements and technical decisions across the systems V
  • Serve as the technical authority for system level trade offs, integration, and performance targets.
  • Coordinate cross functional inputs between hardware, software, controls, and functional safety teams.
  • Lead technical reviews, architecture discussions, and system governance activities.

The Chief / Principal Systems Engineer will have:
  • Strong background in systems engineering for electrified powertrain or EV platforms.
  • Proven experience defining, managing, and governing system requirements and architectures.
  • Solid understanding of e drive systems including traction inverters, electric motors, and power electronics.
  • Experience working across hardware, software, controls, and functional safety domains.
  • Strong familiarity with systems engineering processes and V model development.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision making skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
