As part of continued growth within its London platform, the bank is seeking a Private Banking Assistant to join a best-in-class Private Banking team. This role offers exposure to sophisticated clients, close partnership with senior Relationship Managers, and the opportunity to build a long-term career within a globally connected banking group.
The Private Banking Assistant will provide comprehensive day-to-day support to Private Banking Relationship Managers, ensuring the seamless delivery of client service, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance across the client lifecycle.
Responsibilities;
- Supporting Relationship Managers with all aspects of client onboarding, including preparation of account opening documentation, risk assessments, adverse media checks, and welcome communications.
- Managing account amendments and closures, ensuring accuracy and timeliness throughout.
- Coordinating the transfer of client relationships between private and retail banking channels where required.
- Overseeing debit card processes, including ordering, activation, cancellation, fraud investigations, and refunds.
- Supporting clients with internet banking registration, access issues, and ongoing service queries.
- Assisting with credit-related activity, including preparation of customer information packs and risk modelling templates for credit applications.
- Proactively communicating relevant updates to clients regarding the status of their funds and accounts.
- Maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality, data security, and adherence to internal policies and financial crime frameworks.
- Working collaboratively with Relationship Managers and internal stakeholders on ad-hoc client and business requirements.
Key requirements include:
- A university degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Up to three years' experience within a banking or financial services environment.
- A sound understanding of banking products, services, systems, and operational procedures.
- Knowledge of financial markets and the private banking client base.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to operate professionally across international teams.
- Cultural awareness and sensitivity, with fluency in Arabic and a strong understanding of Middle Eastern clients and business culture considered essential.
- A disciplined, methodical approach with strong analytical capability and a commitment to service quality.
