Please note, this role offers hybrid working - three days per week in the office and two days per week working from home.

This role would suit someone with 1 - 3 years' experience within banking operations, client services or account management, ideally within the banking or financial services sector. As the Middle Office Assistant, you will join a friendly and collaborative team and work closely with colleagues across Operations, Sales and Treasury. Your key responsibilities will include opening and maintaining customer accounts, processing deposits, withdrawals and transfers, assisting with internet banking setup and responding to account-related queries. You will support KYC/AML checks, help monitor activity in line with internal controls, and ensure customer records are accurate and up to date. You will also work with the Sales team on account-related activity, liaise with Treasury on documentation for non-routine transactions, coordinate with Admin/HR to set up vendors and standing orders, and assist with system improvements, automation initiatives and data integrity checks.

The ideal candidate will have 1 - 3 years' experience within banking, financial services or a related environment and a genuine interest in banking operations. You will be proactive, confident and curious, with good initiative and a strong team-player mindset. You'll have excellent attention to detail, good written and verbal communication skills, and a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint). An understanding of banking operations and regulatory requirements is important, and knowledge of SWIFT payment instructions would be beneficial, though not essential.

The salary on offer is £33,000 - £35,000 per annum, plus a benefits package. There are clear opportunities for career development as you gain experience and progress within the bank.
