Health & Safety Officer
Location: Hull
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Hours: Monday Thursday 08 00, Friday 08 30 (38.5 hours per week)

We re looking for an experienced Health & Safety Officer to take ownership of all H&S activity across multiple manufacturing sites. This is a great opportunity for someone who s proactive, people-focused, and passionate about creating a positive safety culture.

You ll act as the company s Competent Person, working closely with external consultants to ensure compliance, drive continuous improvement, and help move towards a zero-harm workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all internal health and safety matters across multiple sites.

• Conduct and review risk assessments, COSHH documentation, and standard operating procedures.

• Investigate incidents, near misses, and ensure full RIDDOR compliance.

• Deliver health and safety training, inductions, and toolbox talks.

• Oversee contractor safety, PPE management, and compliance reporting.

• Promote continuous improvement and best practice in workplace safety.

About You:

• NEBOSH qualified (or equivalent).

• At least 6 years experience in a manufacturing H&S role.

• Strong communication and organisational skills.

• A confident, hands-on approach with a focus on collaboration and problem solving.
