Job Description
A growing RC Frame & Groundworks subcontractor with a strong reputation in high-value, technically complex projects is looking to appoint a Contracts Manager to take the operational lead across its current and upcoming projects.
The initial project will be based in Manchester, followed by work in Newcastle, both within the data centre sector. This is a unique opportunity for a technically strong Contracts Manager with an engineering background to take a senior role in a growing specialist business with continued local workload.
The Role
Reporting directly into Director level, you will:

Take full ownership of contractual and operational delivery across high-value RC frame and groundworks projects

Manage Project Managers, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, and to budget

Lead on commercial management, valuations, variations, and client liaison

Oversee programme, quality, and risk management across multiple sites

Act as the key operational link between site teams and senior management, driving efficiency, best practice, and continuous improvement

Support business growth through operational leadership, mentoring, and strategy
The Ideal Candidate
You will:

Be a technically strong Contracts Manager with hands-on experience in RC frames and groundworks

Hold an engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification

Have proven experience managing high-value projects (preferably in data centres or similarly complex structures)

Be confident taking the operational lead and managing multiple stakeholders

Possess strong commercial awareness and the ability to interpret, manage, and mitigate risk
