Development Engineer Location: Greater Manchester / Cheshire / Lancashire KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS The Engineer must be able to demonstrate a successful track record in R&S Design, liaising with consultants, statutory bodies and subcontractors and process a good all-round knowledge of site development and the road and sewer adoption process. Produce Development Strategies for the on-site material management of all proposed arisings ie foundation, roads, sewers, services etc. Provide monthly reports showing the progress of the Strategy, ie material generated, disposal of site, stockpile management etc. Work alongside the Architectural and Land teams in the obtaining fee quotes from consultants to support a planning application and ensure the associated reports are prepared and delivered on time. Check the agreed specification and make sure all works are constructed in accordance with the design drawings and completed within budget. Liaise with geo environmental consultant to understand existing ground condition, preparation on Remediation Strategy, spoil management and ordain plot validation certificates to be uploaded to the NHBC/LABC portals prior to plot legal completion. Support the construction Department in achieving the adoption of the roads and sewers by the local authorities/United Utilities/NAV. Ensure technical information is current and available for design and build stages. Effective communication of technical issues to all parties. Ensure statutory consents and approvals are secured prior to commencement of the build. Ensure that the works are constructed and commissioned safely in accordance with design data, standards and specifications. Manage and keep accurate records of all testing processes.
