They are seeking an experienced ecologist to take a leadership role in the design delivery team-guiding ecological design, ensuring biodiversity is protected and enhanced, and driving the project towards its No Net Loss goal. This involves embedding ecological mitigation into civil engineering and landscape design, while meeting HS2 standards, legal requirements, and industry best practice. The role will bring inspiration, innovation, and technical expertise to the Natural Capital team. Responsibilities include producing high-quality ecological reports, managing protected species mitigation from design through monitoring, and ensuring habitat creation and enhancement measures are implemented and adapted based on real-world outcomes.
