Production Machine Operator Night Shift

£30,456 per Annum + £1500 night shift allowance

Join a supportive manufacturing team and play a key role in keeping machinery, quality, and production output running smoothly. This is a full-time night-shift temporary position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate, offering long-term stability and great development opportunities.

The role is 48 hours per week, working Monday to Thursday on night shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up machinery at the start of each shift
• Carry out essential safety checks and follow all H&S procedures
• Monitor machine performance to maintain optimum running speeds
• Conduct quality checks and ensure all products meet required standards
• Record setup, run time and downtime using internal systems
• Assist other operators during busy periods as needed
• Clean, maintain and recalibrate machinery at the end of each shift
• Operate pallet jacks and other production equipment
• Maintain a tidy and safe working environment, preventing waste build-up
• Report defects, near misses or issues promptly
• Provide production progress updates to the Production Manager

Essential Skills & Attributes

• Strong awareness of health & safety
• Ability to listen, learn and follow written and verbal instructions
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good numeracy skills and ability to calculate measurements
• Physically fit with strong stamina and manual-handling awareness
• Basic computer skills
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Flexible and able to support additional shifts when required
• Positive team player with a proactive attitude

Desirable Experience (Not Essential)

• Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with machine operation or similar equipment
• Background in roles requiring physical work or quality checks
