Surface Mount Operator

We are seeking for experienced Surface Mount Production Operator to join our client based in Leicester. They are electronics manufacturing company.

The working hours are 7:30 until 4pm Monday to Friday with 2 x 10 min breaks and a 30 minute lunch break.

22 days holiday plus bank holidays but we shut down at Christmas so between 3 & 5 days of the 22 are allocated to this each year.

Roles and responsibilities;

• Operate and maintain Surface Mount Assembly equipment
• Operate and maintain Solder Reflow equipment
• Produce programmes for Pick & Place derived from customer supplied information
• Programme, Operate and Maintain Selective Conformal Coating equipment
• Hand placement of surface mount devices
• A.O.I inspection of PCB assemblies
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Skills required;

• experience in assembly in a production based role
• proficiency in use of computers
• strong attention to detail and commitment to equality
• knowledge of electronic parts, Component packages, PCB Handling, ESD Best Practise and soldering skills are essential
• Ability to interpret drawings and Bill of Materials
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Awareness of IPC-A-610 standard
