Field Service Engineer Required! - Gloucestershire

Our client is a leading manufacturer of specialist sterilisation solutions, serving a variety of professional, research, and clinical sectors worldwide.

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Field Service Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing routine maintenance, fault finding, repairs, calibration, installation, commissioning, and operator training at customer sites.

Package:

• Salary £35,000 - £40,000 (DOE)
• Fully expensed company vehicle, mobile phone & Credit Card (subsistence expenses for out of area tasks)

Field Service Engineer - Responsibilities:

• Provide routine preventive maintenance, fault finding, and repairs across a full range of autoclaves.
• Perform calibration and validation, including temperature mapping and performance adjustments.
• Undertake installation of new equipment, commissioning, operator training, and equipment modifications.
• Apply a proactive approach to diagnosing and resolving faults, providing accurate feedback for corrective and preventive actions.
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings to support repairs and modifications.
• Maintain quality standards in line with ISO 9001 and ISO 17025.
• Become fully familiar with autoclave construction, control, and performance to provide effective support to customers.

Field Service Engineer - Requirements

• A qualification to HNC, HND or Degree level in a mechanical/electrical engineering discipline
• Full UK Drivers license & Passport are essential
• Willingness to travel abroad when required
• Electrical: Understanding of single-phase and three-phase systems, PLCs, and associated control/monitoring components.
• Mechanical: Hands-on experience with component fault finding, replacement, and testing; knowledge of basic pipework and plumbing systems
• Self-motivated with strong customer service and time management skills
