Field Service Engineer Required! - Gloucestershire
Our client is a leading manufacturer of specialist sterilisation solutions, serving a variety of professional, research, and clinical sectors worldwide.
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Field Service Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing routine maintenance, fault finding, repairs, calibration, installation, commissioning, and operator training at customer sites.
Package:
- Salary £35,000 - £40,000 (DOE)
- Fully expensed company vehicle, mobile phone & Credit Card (subsistence expenses for out of area tasks)

Field Service Engineer - Responsibilities:
- Provide routine preventive maintenance, fault finding, and repairs across a full range of autoclaves.
- Perform calibration and validation, including temperature mapping and performance adjustments.
- Undertake installation of new equipment, commissioning, operator training, and equipment modifications.
- Apply a proactive approach to diagnosing and resolving faults, providing accurate feedback for corrective and preventive actions.
- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings to support repairs and modifications.
- Maintain quality standards in line with ISO 9001 and ISO 17025.
- Become fully familiar with autoclave construction, control, and performance to provide effective support to customers.
Field Service Engineer - Requirements
- A qualification to HNC, HND or Degree level in a mechanical/electrical engineering discipline
- Full UK Drivers license & Passport are essential
- Willingness to travel abroad when required
- Electrical: Understanding of single-phase and three-phase systems, PLCs, and associated control/monitoring components.
- Mechanical: Hands-on experience with component fault finding, replacement, and testing; knowledge of basic pipework and plumbing systems
- Self-motivated with strong customer service and time management skills
