About the Team

We are looking for an exceptional individual to join the Council's Education Strategy and Commissioning Team.

We are a new team responsible for commissioning high quality services to meet Warwickshire's education needs, and for driving forward collaborative strategies to meet the education needs of all children and young people.

The Team includes two Strategy and Development Officers, one with a specific focus on SEND & Inclusion, and the other with a broader remit around the wider education landscape. The two officers work closely together as a small Strategy Unit.

About the Role

This recruitment is for a Strategy & Development Officer with a specific focus on SEND & Inclusion Services.

This will include:

  • Co-ordination and delivery of Warwickshire's SEND & Inclusion Strategy and associated Delivery Plans
  • Strategic Support for the Warwickshire SEND & Inclusion Partnership Board and the Council's Head of SEND & Inclusion
  • Strategic support for the delivery of agreed change projects
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements across SEND & Inclusion services, preparation for inspection and response to inspection outcomes.

The successful applicant will need experience of working collaboratively with a range of partners and stakeholders; of strategy work and project management; and of analysing data.

For this role, we are particularly looking for someone that has a good understanding of strategy and policy in relation to SEND & Inclusion.
