Overview

We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Insurance Administrator to support our clients commercial broking team. The role will provide administrative and technical support across a portfolio of clients operating within Waste Management, Haulage, Logistics, Transport, Fleet & Motor sectors.

This position is ideal for someone with experience in insurance administration or a strong administrative background who is looking to build or develop a career within commercial insurance.

Key Responsibilities

Policy Administration & Support

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to Account Executives and Account Handlers
  • Process new business, renewals, mid-term adjustments, and cancellations
  • Prepare and issue insurance documentation including policies, schedules, certificates, and endorsements
  • Accurately input and maintain client and policy data on internal systems

Client & Insurer Liaison

  • Act as a point of contact for routine client queries via phone and email
  • Liaise with insurers and underwriters to obtain documentation, confirmations, and policy information
  • Support the broking team with renewal preparation and insurer submissions

Compliance & Record Keeping

  • Ensure all documentation is produced and issued in line with FCA regulations and internal procedures
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files, records, and correspondence
  • Support audit, compliance, and quality control requirements

Systems & Administration

  • Use insurance systems to manage policy records (experience with Acturis is beneficial but not a prerequisite)
  • Assist with diary management, renewal chasing, and workflow prioritisation
  • Produce reports and management information as required

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience in an insurance administration or commercial insurance environment (desirable)
  • Exposure to commercial motor, fleet, or transport-related risks would be advantageous
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with high attention to detail
  • Confident written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
