CMM Operator - Goods Inwards / Inspection

Shenstone, Lichfield - Up to £22.50/hr - LTD

Contract Type: 6-month initial contract which could lead to full time employment (£35k-£40k plus healthcare, pension etc)

We are currently seeking a CMM Operator/Inspector to provide additional expertise within our clients Goods Inwards Inspection Laboratory. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organisation with long-term career prospects and access to further training.

Our client specialises in the design, development and production of high-quality, lightweight rotary engines.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out goods inwards inspection of components and sub-assemblies.
• Perform physical audits of assembled engines prior to shipment to customers.
• Inspect sub-assemblies and individual components to engineering drawings.
• Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) in line with quality requirements.
• Ensure all inspections are completed accurately and documented correctly.
• All inspection activities will be conducted in-house.

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience in an inspection or quality role (essential).
• Experience using Mitutoyo CMMs would be a strong advantage but other CMM manufacturers considered
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Familiarity with First Article Inspection requirements
• Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to inspection tasks
