The opportunity: MBDA has a large portfolio of weapon systems in development and in service for UK domestic and export customers in Land and Maritime air-defence missile and directed energy weapons programmes. The Maintainer Local Terminal (MLT) system is a critical component of these weapon systems that hosts a suite of common functions including: Secure software update for the weapon system subsystem components Weapon system configuration Download, replay and analysis of data logs from the weapon system Executing scenarios to allow users to train with the weapon system on platform In some cases, the MLT is hosted on hardware that is multi-role and also hosts the operator console software The Head of MLT Product Line is the design authority for the cross-programmatic family of MLT products, and is accountable for the full development lifecycle from HW down select through to delivery into service of multiple MLT products for MBDA's air defence projects. As Head of Product Line, you will be accountable for the development of the strategy and road map for MLT products and bidding for new work. Cloud Infra is a group that enables our Product engineers to build, and deploy Synthesia state of the art technologies. You can expect to work across cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and tooling, with autonomy to identify and fix bottlenecks in a fast moving AI company. This is a hands on senior IC role (roughly level 5 scope). You'll be joining a growing team that's shifting from enablement to direct execution, and you'll help shape how we scale our infrastructure over the next year. What you'll do Maintain and scale Kubernetes (EKS) clusters - managing workloads, deployments, and monitoring at production scale.
