Overview

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in PCB design, electronics development, and wiring design, playing a key role in developing and improving our products. This position requires both technical expertise and a hands-on approach, ensuring designs meet performance, reliability, and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop schematics, PCB layouts, and wiring diagrams for new and existing products.
  • Perform root cause analysis on design and manufacturing issues, implementing effective corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain design documentation, including schematics, BOMs, and test procedures.
  • Integrate and configure logic controllers (PLCs or microcontrollers) into system designs.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, testing, and mechanical) to ensure seamless product integration.
  • Stay up to date with electronics and PCB design trends, components, and industry best practices.
  • Support prototyping, testing, and validation of new designs.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong background in electronics and PCB design (schematic capture, layout, and component selection).
  • Practical experience with wiring design and harnessing.
  • Proficient in root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Hands-on skills in soldering and prototype assembly.
  • Familiarity with logic controllers, microcontrollers, and embedded systems integration.
  • Knowledge of system-level design principles and standards.
  • Experience with LabView (or similar test automation tools) is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £35,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
