Senior Principal Hardware Engineer - Contract Location: Rochester Duration: 12 MonthsRate: £69.72/hr (PAYE) On-site: 5 days (WFH Fridays, business dependent)Clearance: BPSS required SC in progressJoin a cutting-edge aerospace team working on safety-critical systems like Helmet Displays, Mission Computers, Flight Controls. Lead hardware design from concept to delivery, provide technical leadership, and mentor junior engineers.What you'll do:

• Lead hardware design (digital/analogue) for mission-critical systems
• Provide technical leadership and collaborate across teams
• Ensure delivery within cost, schedule, and quality constraints

What we're looking for:

• Electronics engineering experience, with safety-critical systems
• Full lifecycle experience (concept to certification)
• Power supply experience is a plus

Tools: Mentor Graphics, SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, DOORSQualification: Degree in Electronics Engineering (or equivalent)Clearance: BPSS required as a minimum
