Job Description

We re hiring for a Community Response Officer to join a compassionate, community-focused organisation supporting vulnerable adults across the High Peak area.

You ll play a vital role in providing reassurance, emergency response, and practical assistance to help people live independently and safely in their own homes.

What will you be doing as a Community Response Officer?

  • Responding to emergency calls from clients and providing practical or emotional support
  • Assisting individuals who have fallen or require help with mobility using specialist equipment
  • Installing, testing, and maintaining Carelink alarm units and telecare devices
  • Recording accurate information and maintaining clear client records
  • Liaising with emergency services, relatives, and social care teams when required
  • Conducting regular checks on vehicles, equipment, and CCTV systems
  • Providing companionship and reassurance during emergency situations

What do you need?

  • A full UK driving licence
  • Previous experience working with elderly/vulnerable individuals
  • A flexible approach to varied shift patterns
