Job Title: Streetlighting/Winter Service Project Officer
Salary: £29,832 - £31,877 per annum
35 Hours per Week Location: Warndon Depot/Hybrid
Team: Streetlighting/Winter Service Permanent Contract

Worcestershire County Council is looking to appoint an experienced Project Officer to join the Streetlighting and Winter Service team. This team plays a vital part in administering the delivery of the maintenance and upgrade of the County's streetlighting assets and the winter service across Worcestershire.

Working in tandem with another project officer, you will provide administrative and projectsupport to a team of lighting engineers and the lighting/winter service manager. The role will be varied and range from fundamental administrative tasks to running small, bespoke projects within each service area to prescribed timescales and budgets.

About you

We are looking for someone with:

  • Excellent IT skills, to include the suite of Microsoft applications, Graphical Information Systems (GIS) and asset database interrogation, extraction and updates
  • A proactive, and highly organised approach and the ability to work on your own initiative is a must.
  • A demonstrable ability to manage small, yet important and impactful projects within each service area to budget in a pressured environment
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • Significant experience in a highways environment.
Essential qualifications

include a Level 4 qualification (or at least 2 years relevant work experience within a highways or infrastructure deployment field).

A valid UK driving licence

Desirable
  • A levels/equivalent level
  • Project based qualification e.g. Prince2, Agile; or a commitment to work towards one.
