Junior Developer/Junior Systems Developer
SQL-Focused Role | Power Platform Preferred | Hybrid Working
Location & Work Setup
Hybrid working from Portishead. Three days in the office and two days work from home. You can also work from our client's offices in Stirling, Northwich, or Warrington.
Why This Role?
This is a Junior Developer/Junior Systems Developer opportunity within a stable, multi-company group where IT supports critical systems across the organisation. You will join a close-knit team and gain hands-on experience with real production platforms, including SQL-driven reporting, internal web applications, ERP, and Microsoft Power Platform.
It is a strong role for someone who already has practical SQL query writing experience and wants to build broader skills across business systems, reporting, automation, and internal applications.
Key Skills & Experience
You do not need to have held the exact title Junior Developer or Junior Systems Developer to be a strong candidate. However, this role does require hands-on experience writing SQL queries.
That experience can come from commercial work, university or college study, internships, or substantial personal projects. What matters is that you have genuinely used SQL in practice, not just an introductory interest.
Power Platform experience is not essential, but the client will show a clear preference to candidates who have used Power BI and/or Power Apps in any capacity. If your SQL is strong and you have not had the chance to use Power Platform yet, you are still encouraged to apply.
