WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Rheinmetall Weapons and Ammunition UK (RWM UK) is part of the defence engineering company Rheinmetall AG based in Germany. We design, manufacture and support military large-calibre weapon systems used by the British Army and international customers.
Location: Telford, Shropshire (on-site)
Contract: Perm, 40hrs per week
Working hours: Days
Start Date: ASAP
Closing Date : 28/02/2026
Your responsibilities:
- Responsibility for operational quality management (QMS, auditing, measuring room, production quality and goods receipt)
- Coordination of quality-related interfaces along the supply chain and performance of quality checks (live fire) for large-calibre weapon systems
- Management and further development of the quality team, including performance management, training and personnel issues
- Further development of quality strategies, processes and key performance indicators, as well as support in establishing new production capacities
- Analysis, optimisation and monitoring of processes and production quality, reporting and complaint management
- Ensuring compliance with legal and normative requirements and promoting a culture of continuous improvement
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
- Technical degree or comparable qualification with relevant professional experience in metalworking
- Several years of management and practical experience in quality management
- Very good knowledge of relevant norms and standards (MIL-STD, STANAG, ISO, ITOP, ITAR)
- Confident use of QM methods (e.g. FMEA, PPAP, 5-Why, Ishikawa) and technical drawings
- IT affinity, especially SAP R/3; Teamcenter knowledge is an advantage
- Ideally, experience in specialised manufacturing processes or military production
