Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEMH High School Teachers to inspire and educate students with social emotional and mental health needs across a variety of subjects, The successful candidate will play a vital role in fostering a positive learning environment, supporting behavioural development, and encouraging academic excellence. Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons across the curriculum
- We are looking for specialist teacher for a variety of subjects including Maths, Science, English and Humanities
- Develop customised lesson plans to cater to diverse learning styles and special educational needs.
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive classroom environment.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
- Support students with additional needs through tailored tutoring and mentoring programmes.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external specialists to ensure holistic student support.
- Organise extracurricular activities that promote student engagement and personal growth.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and behavioural incidents in compliance with school policies.
Requirements
- Qualified teacher status with recognised certification for teaching at secondary level is preferred
- Proven experience in teaching high school students in the UK is required
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage students, parents, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of behaviour management techniques suitable for diverse classroom environments.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
- A genuine passion for education and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
