Job Profile - Architectural Technologist - EG45625Location: EdinburghSalary & Benefits: £32,000 - £40,000 + Flexible Working Hours & Hybrid WorkingOur client, an award-winning Architectural Studio based in Edinburgh, is seeking an experienced Architectural Technologist to join their growing team.The practice works across the Commercial, Residential and Leisure sectors, delivering a diverse portfolio of projects that include both new-build developments and the refurbishment of existing buildings. The studio is also involved in historic restoration and conservation projects, and any prior experience in this area would be highly advantageous.With a significant increase in Residential-led projects, the ideal candidate will have proven experience within the Residential sector and a genuine interest in continuing to develop their expertise in this area. The team works primarily in Revit and AutoCAD, therefore professional experience and a good working knowledge of both software packages will be essential.

Architectural Technologist Position Overview
- Work across both design and technical stages, producing high-quality drawings and detailed technical information
- Prepare planning, detailed design and construction drawing packages using AutoCAD and Revit
- Support the delivery of projects from early design through to construction and completion
- Develop coordinated technical solutions in line with project briefs, statutory requirements and best practice
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports, schedules and specifications
- Coordinate with architects, consultants and internal teams to ensure accurate and compliant information
- Contribute to design development while maintaining a strong focus on buildability and detailing
- Ensure drawings and documentation comply with current Building Regulations and relevant standards
- Respond to technical queries during the construction phase and assist with design revisions as required
- Support the practice's quality standards and contribute to the continuous improvement of drawing output
- Work across a range of sectors, with a particular focus on Residential-led projects
Architectural Technologist Position Requirements
- Proven experience working as an Architectural Technologist or within a design-led architectural practice
- Strong experience producing detailed drawings and technical packages using AutoCAD and Revit
- Background working across both design and technical stages of projects
- Previous experience within the Residential sector is highly desirable
- Good working knowledge of UK Building Regulations and industry standards
- Experience coordinating technical information with consultants and wider project teams
- Ability to interpret project briefs and translate design concepts into accurate technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to technical delivery
- Good communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Ability to manage workload effectively and meet project deadlines
