Schools Financial Advisor (SIL)

Working under the general direction of the Finance Manager (Schools), the post holder will provide professional and technical support to all schools and educational establishments.

To ensure the provision of appropriate financial advice to Headteachers, School Governors and Business Managers.

To contribute to the overall improvement in the management and performance of the financial administration of schools and educational establishments.

Contribute towards the achievement of the Company's Aims & Objectives.

Assist with the development of the Schools Finance function adopting a strategic commercial approach.

A recognised professional accounting qualification (CCAB, AAT or equivalent) and membership of a recognised professional CCAB (or equivalent) body.

Awareness of the political, managerial and financial issues currently facing schools and education settings.

Highly developed analytical, interpretational and comparative skills capable of dealing with highly complex and sensitive information to support rational decision making.

Demonstrable negotiating skills and management of conflict.
