Job Description

A national building consultancy is seeking a Senior Building Surveyor to join its team on a permanent basis. This Building Surveyor role offers exposure to a wide range of technical and advisory instructions. The Building Surveyor will operate within a national network of surveyors, supporting projects remotely while delivering Building Surveying services across multiple sectors. This role provides autonomy and the opportunity to apply specialist Building Surveyor expertise on complex instructions.

The Role

As the Building Surveyor, you will manage technical and advisory projects independently while liaising with other surveyors across the network. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality professional outputs across a diverse range of Building Surveying services.

The role will include:

  • Delivering expert witness, defects, dilapidations, party wall and licence to alter instructions

  • Undertaking monitoring surveys and technical inspections

  • Preparing reports, specifications and professional advice for clients

  • Managing projects independently while coordinating with other surveyors

  • Supporting complex and multi-disciplinary instructions across multiple sectors

  • Maintaining client relationships and providing trusted Building Surveying advice

The Building Surveyor?

You will be a technically skilled and experienced Chartered or Senior Building Surveyor with a proven record in advisory and project work. Applications from non-construction related surveyors will not be considered.

The Building Surveyor must have:

  • Significant experience across multiple Building Surveying disciplines

  • Strong technical knowledge of construction, building pathology and contract administration

  • Ability to manage projects independently with minimal supervision

  • Experience in client liaison and report preparation

  • Strong organisational and IT skills
