A leading Construction Consultancy is seeking a Building Surveyor to join their Cambridge office. The Building Surveyor will work across a wide range of surveying services, including contract administration, planned maintenance, dilapidations, condition surveys, reinstatement cost assessments, and party wall matters. This Building Surveyor role provides exposure to diverse clients and projects across all asset classes. The Building Surveyor will play a key part in delivering building surveying services while supporting client relationships and business development.

The Role
As the Building Surveyor, you will take responsibility for delivering high-quality surveying services while assisting senior colleagues and supporting project delivery.
The role will include:
Undertaking contract administration and planned maintenance projects Conducting due diligence, condition surveys, and reinstatement cost assessments Preparing dilapidations schedules, reports, and specifications Managing party wall matters and client communications Monitoring development projects and providing progress reports Supporting business development and helping grow client relationships Assisting senior surveyors with project delivery and team management
The Building Surveyor?
You will be an experienced and technically capable Building Surveyor with practical experience in property-related projects. Applications from non-property or non-construction backgrounds will not be considered.
The Building Surveyor must have:
A degree in Building Surveying or a related property/construction discipline Proven experience in building surveying services, including contract administration, surveys, and reporting Knowledge of building regulations, construction methods, and project management Strong client liaison skills and the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams Full UK driving licence and access to transport
