A growing specialist insurance business is seeking an experienced Product Delivery Manager with MGA, broker, or specialty lines experience to take ownership of insurance product and underwriting-led initiatives.

This role is designed for someone from an underwriting, insurance product, or business change background who understands how specialty insurance products are built, governed, and brought to market, and who enjoys operating with autonomy in an SME environment.

This is an insurance-led role, not a technology delivery position. While systems and technology form part of delivery, success in this role comes from a strong understanding of underwriting, product structure, and commercial insurance outcomes.

You will own the end-to-end delivery of new specialty insurance products and underwriting change, from early concept and underwriting definition through to launch and embedment.

Working closely with Underwriters, Product Leads, Operations, and Technology teams, you will ensure underwriting intent is clearly defined, understood, and delivered, enabling products to trade effectively in the market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of new MGA and specialty insurance products
  • Own projects from underwriting concept through to live trading
  • Work closely with underwriting teams to define product scope, rules, pricing inputs, and governance
  • Coordinate delivery across Underwriting, Technology, Operations, and external partners
  • Act as the central point of coordination, ensuring clarity between business and delivery teams
  • Manage timelines, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder expectations
  • Provide clear, commercially focused updates to senior stakeholders
  • Support product launch activity and post-launch bedding in

Experience & Background

  • Experience within an MGA, broker, or specialty insurance environment
  • Strong understanding of specialty underwriting and insurance product delivery
  • Proven involvement in project-based underwriting, product, or business change
  • Comfortable working with IT teams without being a technical project manager
  • Pragmatic, delivery-focused, and confident operating with a high degree of autonomy
  • Hybrid working model (minimum two days per week on-site in the Midlands)
  • Right to Work in the UK required (no visa sponsorship available)
