Our client is looking for a Librarian to Join their team in Cookstown Pay Rate: £19.59 per hour Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week, 9-5, Mon-Fri Duration: 30.09.26 Start Date: ASAP Location: Loughry Campus Dungannon Road, Cookstown Co Tyrone, BT80 9AA Job Duties: Managing the Campus Library services and maintaining efficient and effective management systems and procedures to optimise staff, student and other users' learning experiences; Ensuring the delivery and management of professional library information and archive services, including development of appropriate marketing and promotional activities, identification of customer needs and provision of reference and enquiry services; Identifying opportunities and advising College management on the development and use of communication and learning technology including the integration of learning resources (including eLearning) within the College's managed learning environment; Managing the learning environment in the library, including the supervision of students working on group based projects, private study and open access IT resources attached to the library; Liaising with the other librarians on the common functions of the library service across the three CAFRE campuses and with DAERA / NICS library as appropriate; Managing the induction and training and Rota of library support staff; Managing library administrative support staff (where applicable) and library budgets to ensure best value for money; Any other duties in line with the business needs of CAFRE, FFRAG and DAERA. Other duties in line with the needs of DAERA, including driving a Departmental vehicle. The above list is not exhaustive but gives an indication of the main duties of the post. The emphasis on particular duties will vary over time according to business needs. Essential Criteria: 5 GCSE's A -C including Maths and English (must be able to show evidence) A degree (must be able to show evidence) 1. (a) At least a pass Degree or a postgraduate Diploma in Librarianship; Information Management; or Library & Information Studies OR 1. (b) Be a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals. A criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining a position. The UK Recruitment Co.
