For the successful Quality Manager our client is offering;

  • Salary of up to £47,000 per annum DOE
  • Monday Thursday: 08.00am 16.35pm, Friday: 08.00am 13.00pm

The Role of the Quality Manager;

  • Review and revise the company s quality procedures, standards and specifications
  • Review customer requirements and make sure that they are met
  • Work with purchasing to establish quality requirements from external suppliers
  • Set standards for Quality
  • Make sure that manufacturing or production processes meet international and national standards
  • Look at ways to reduce waste and increase efficiency
  • Define quality procedures in conjunction with the operating staff
  • Set up and maintain controls and documentation procedures
  • Monitor performance by gathering data and produce reports
  • Review existing policies and make suggestions for changes and improvements, and how to implement them
  • Measure performance and identify any areas of weakness, recommending and implementing improvements
  • Liaise with other managers and staff and provide training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve quality standards
  • Assess the effectiveness of changes made
  • Lead initiatives in Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing
  • Ensure compliance with emerging standards (such as the international standard of ISO 9001:2015, IATF16949, ISO14001)
  • Train and manage a team of Quality Engineers and Quality Inspectors

What our client is looking for in a Quality Manager;

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an automotive environment - ESSENTIAL
  • Previous experience developing, implementing and maintaining QMS in line with standards such as ISO9001, IATF16949- ESSENTIAL
  • Planned and conducted internal audits and supported external audits, addressed non-conformities through root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Kaizen and reduce defects, rework and waste while improving efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Perform risk assessments (FMEA) and implement preventative controls to minimise quality and operational risks
  • Deliver quality awareness and compliance training across all departments
  • Handled customer complaints and quality issues professionally and effectively
  • Analysed Quality metrics (KPI s, defect rates, audit results) and reported performance and improvement plans to senior managers
