A friendly and welcoming primary school in Didcot is looking for a new mental health assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This role is ideal for aspiring psychologists who are keen to gain invaluable experience while supporting vulnerable children in a nurturing primary school environment.
Within this role you will support pupils 1:1 and in small groups, helping them work towards their academic and personal goals. You will become familiar with the national curriculum and tailor activities to meet individual needs. You will support pupils with a range of SEN and SEMH needs, including ASD, ADHD, learning difficulties and attachment disorders.

This role is ideal for a psychology graduate looking to gain hands-on classroom experience to support their journey towards becoming a psychologist. It is also well suited to experienced teaching assistants who have a genuine interest in mental health support and want to develop this further.
