Permanent RoleCompetitive Salary DOEShift Patternt to be confirmed at interviewI am currently working with a well-established sheet metal manufacturing company based in Leicestershire. Due to growth, they now have a requirement for a Quality Inspector to join their existing team based on the shop floor.The Quality Inspector will be responsible for:

• Conducting inspection of sheet metal fabrications, welded components and complete items, using a variety of manual inspection equipment.
• Completing 1st off and final inspection procedures.
• Creating and follow inspection plans based on engineering drawings.
• Collaborating with other departments to review internal and external non-conformance.
• Generating detailed inspection reports documenting findings and recommendations.
• Identifying potential quality issues and proactively suggest corrective actions.
• Participating in the continuous improvement of quality control processes.
• Communicating effectively with production personnel and engineers regarding inspection results.

The ideal candidate for the Quality Inspector role will have:

• A good knowledge of inspection equipment.
• The ability to read engineering drawings.
• Gained previous experience in a similar role, working in a sheet metal manufacturing company.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control or a related field.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience of Root Cause Analysis (ie. Fishbone, 8D, 5Y).
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (or similar software).
• A formal qualification in Quality or be keen to obtain one.
