Mid-Senior Sustainability Specialist

This is a SAP-led role that focuses on broader technical delivery across multiple work streams, including SAP, energy statements, and modelling. Day-to-Day

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with clients and project teams to deliver sustainability assessments and reports.
  • Managing multiple work streams, including SAP, energy modelling, and planning-stage energy statements.
  • Conducting detailed technical analyses, such as thermal modelling and daylight assessments.
  • Supporting the development of sustainability strategies for projects at various stages.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry standards, policies, and best practices.


Responsibilities

As a Mid-Senior Sustainability Specialist, you will:

  • Deliver end-to-end SAP/OCDEA assessments and, where applicable, SBEM/NDEA assessments.
  • Prepare planning-stage Energy Statements in line with the London Plan and local policies.
  • Conduct dynamic thermal modelling and overheating assessments (TM59/TM52), ideally using DesignBuilder or IES.
  • Perform daylight and sunlight assessments.
  • Support whole life cycle carbon assessments and, ideally, circular economy initiatives.


Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Current OCDEA or NDEA (SBEM) accreditation.
  • Experience with DesignBuilder (preferred) or IES for dynamic thermal modelling.
  • A background in architecture or a strong understanding of architectural principles.
  • Knowledge of London Plan and GLA planning requirements.
  • Familiarity with M&E building services design, including HVAC and low-carbon technologies.
  • Experience with One Click LCA or equivalent whole life cycle carbon tools.
  • BREEAM Assessor/AP experience or project delivery support (desirable).
