Chef De Partie £13-14/hr OBAN

We are looking for a Chef De Partie to join a client in Oban who has recenctly gone through a refurbishment programme and is looking to strengthen their team for the launch of the new menu. A 72 bedroom hotel ideally located on the bay with local shops found just a 10-minute stroll away. Oban Rail Station and ferry terminal are also within the same distance. This is a permanent role with one of the UK's largest independent hotel groups, and as such there are great opportunities for career progression. We are looking for someone who is passionate about hospitality, that is reliable and willing to learn as part of this growing team. The Role Setting up the kitchen prior to a restaurant and bar opening Preparing a station as designated by senior chefs Cooking a specific portion of each plated meal Assisting with marinating, cutting and precooking foods Cleaning down the kitchen at close Cleaning and sanitising the kitchen areas and adhereing to company health and safety and food safety legislation Plating food as per company spec Taking on responsibilities laid down by the senior chef What they need from you Excellent verbal and written communication skills Minimum 2 years in a similar role Organisational skills In-depth knowledge of baking, cooking and grilling techniques Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment Ability to quickly learn new recipes and new cooking procedures Time management skills Ability to work efficiently and cooperatively in a team environment Ability to solve problems quickly What is on offer £13-14/hr Share of hotel tips Accommodation on site if required for a small monthly fee Career progression both in the hotel and with the group Hands on training Flexible Shifts, to fit around other commitments Opportunity to gain recognised qualifications to help you progress Introduce a Friend Scheme Access to complimentary Mental Health & Wellbeing services Discounted company Hotel Stays, for you, your family and friends A range of local in-house benefits THIS HOTEL DOES NOT OFFER SKILLED WORKER VISAS - ONLY CITIZENS WITH FULL UK RIGHT TO WORK SHOULD APPLY
