Groundworker - Carlisle

Carlisle Monday-Friday Dayshift 40-50 Hours per Week

Prime Workforce Solutions (PWS) are currently recruiting experienced Groundworkers on behalf of a well-established Civil Engineering contractor for long-term contract work based in Carlisle.

This is an excellent opportunity for reliable, skilled operatives seeking steady work through to the end of June / beginning of July - with the potential for extension.

The Role

You will be working as part of a civil engineering team delivering infrastructure and groundwork packages. Duties will include:

• Concrete works (including pouring, finishing, and associated groundwork)
• Cabling and troughing
• Excavation and digging
• Laying paving and kerbing
• Tarmac works
• General site groundwork duties as required

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday - Dayshift
• 40-50 hours per week available (depending on site/location)
• Optional Saturday nightshift available (not mandatory)

Requirements

• Valid CSCS Card (desirable)
• Personal Track Safety (PTS) certificate (required for rail-related works)
• CPCS (desirable but not essential)
• Full UK Driving Licence (mandatory)
• Previous experience in civil engineering groundwork
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong awareness of health & safety on site

This role would particularly suit candidates local to Carlisle and surrounding areas.
