Create curriculum-linked content that inspires critical thinking, encourages discussion, and supports a wide range of classroom activities while remaining accessible to schools with varying levels of technology. Ensure materials meet teachers needs by providing clear learning outcomes, delivery guidance, and differentiation strategies. Integrate digital elements such as videos, case studies, and infographics to support learner engagement as appropriate. Work collaboratively with The Vegan Society s Education team and graphic designer to ensure materials align with organisational guidance, design standards, and World Vegan Day or World Vegan Month branding. Pilot materials with teachers and learners during April and May 2026, then revise content in line with feedback. Complete final edits in June 2026 and contribute to marketing and outreach to support school engagement. The contractor will determine the method, schedule, and time commitment required to complete the work, provided agreed deadlines and deliverables are met. General: This role is offered strictly on a freelance, self-employed basis. There is no obligation on The Vegan Society to offer further work, nor on the contractor to accept additional work. The contractor will not be managed as a member of staff and will not be subject to internal policies beyond those necessary for legal, ethical, and reputational protection. Maintaining (including repair) and arranging for the maintenance and repair of Faculty apparatus and equipment. Ensuring the maintenance of Food Technology & Design services and facilities, liaising with the premises staff as appropriate. Preparing apparatus, material and setting up equipment and apparatus for use in practical classes. Setting up and on occasions carrying out demonstrations. Retrieving and cleaning away apparatus, etc, after use. Constructing and modifying apparatus. Ensuring that the practical requirements of practical examinations/assessments are met. Ensuring that satisfactory standards of safety and security are maintained in accordance with School/Borough policy. Other appropriate technician duties as requested by the Head of Food Technology.
