Exciting role on offer for a Junior Construction Designer to join an innovative construction company to play a key role in delivering high-quality design solutions across complex projects.

This company are an award-winning, niche construction company who specialise in innovative light steel frame solutions. They work on a range of projects including mixed use buildings, student accommodation and Ministry of Defence. They have a busy year ahead with lots of projects recently won for 2026, so they are now looking for a Junior Designer to join the team.

In this role you will be based in the office 3 days per week, with the other 2 days working from home. Your main role will be to work on 3D models of steel construction projects using AutoCAD, Revit and MWF. You will be developing detailed drawings of components for fabrication and construction. Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be working within the design team, whilst liaising with engineers, site staff and the production team.

The ideal candidate will have some experience in a similar role within construction with some exposure to Revit and AutoCAD. You will be an excellent communicator, being able to work accurately and competently. You will be a problem solver with a solutions-focused approach.

The Role:

• Junior Design Technician
• Hot rolled steel / light gauge steel / off-site construction projects
• Develop detailed drawings using AutoCAD and Revit
• Strong support from team and training opportunities
• Working on multiple projects at once

• Previous experience in a design related role in construction
• Excellent communication skills with high level of accuracy and attention to detail
